Peace,
I am Genevieve. Raised among the cornfields of Iowa and settled in the State of Lovers in the name of love with a backdrop of several other deserts, big skies, and mountains in between. I am a daughter of the King, wife, mother of 2 sweet babes, caretaker of 2 dogs and a cat, and lover of all things outdoors. Literally.
When I am not spinning sugar you can catch me outside; in the front yard, the back yard, on a walk with the dogs, on a walk with the kids, hiking, backpacking, car camping, foraging, and exploring. I even met my husband hiking across the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone.
I founded The Woolly Spoke in January of 2024. I created this mobile cotton candy cart business out of the love for entrepreneurship and gratitude for life! I researched a lot of mobile “timeless eats” options until I couldn’t help but pursue the adoration of a pinterest photo of the sweetest cotton candy cart. Shout out to @TheJollySheep. My original vision of a banana nice cream truck to ice cream sandwich bike to cotton candy cart went from months of research and several business plans to instant action that is still in motion 10 quarters deep.
The value of life is timeless, priceless, and oh so precious to me. We should honor and celebrate the extraordinary and mundane aspects of being alive. Life is the greatest mercy, grace, and blessing gifted to us. Thank you, Lord, for another day. I am grateful that I am able to celebrate life with others through a touch of whimsy and sweetness while holding steadfast to my values.

"Healthier" isn't a word we throw around loosely — it's still sugar. We use organic cane sugar with no artificial dyes that is kosher certified, and allergen-friendly, so you know exactly what you and your guests are eating.

Yes. Our sugars are allergen-friendly.
Let us know your guests' specific needs when booking and we'll walk you through your options for any additional toppings need to be carefully sourced for allergy accommodations. We always do our best to serve toppings that are allergen-friendly, organic, and made of quality food sourced ingredients.

Every part of the experience is designed to leave a lighter footprint — quality sourced kosher sugars, paper cones, mini bamboo tongs instead of sticky fingers, and packaging that's recyclable. We are here to celebrate all of life including the life of our planet.

Absolutely — it's one of our favorite settings. Our cart and service are designed to feel at home in more refined spaces, and we're happy to work with your venue's event coordinator on setup requirements. We are licensed and insured.

All of our quotes are custom based on guest count, hours of service, location, and add-ons.
Our class cart package, perfect for smaller events of up to 75 guests in Fairfax County start at $195.
Our bespoke package for larger events of 200+ guests for multiple hours start at $650.
If you are seeking to book a mega corporate or college campus event- this can be done but may require partnerships with another field marketing team to bring your vision to life. We would love to make it happen so please inquire with at least 60-90 days notice.

We recommend booking 4 weeks in advance, though we will always do our best to accommodate last minute celebrations.
If you are inquiring for an event that is less than 7 days out we do charge a $100 rush fee if we are able to accommodate.
For larger events such as weddings, mitzvahs, larger club events, corporate gatherings we advise booking 2-3 months in advance.

We're based in Northern Virginia, but we travel throughout the entire DC Metropolitan area and beyond — we've served events across Southern Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, DC, and West Virginia. If you're planning something further out, ask us — we love a good road trip for the right celebration.

You reply with your confirmation and any other add-ons or request.
We send over a service agreement and detailed invoice for your review, signature, and payment. You will have 72 hours to complete this process before the date opens back up to other inquiries.
Once we have received your completed agreement and payment via our secured payment processor we will start the design process for your menu, decal, and any other customizations you requested.
We are available via email for all questions, comments, and concerns along the way and respond within 24 hours.
Day of your event we text when we are en route. We arrive, set-up, and do the sweet thing!

A non-refundable retainer fee is required to book your date and time.
Each order will include a service agreement and detailed invoice. The retainer fee must be made within 72 hours of sent agreement and invoice to secure your event date and time.
Secure online checkout, Zelle, Venmo, or cash are all acceptable forms of payment. -
We’ll consider a customization request for anything including; the cart, flavors, toppings, cone mediums, party favors and more.
Please note that all customizations are an additional fee. They may also require outside vendors (balloons, cart wraps, signage, etc.). They will be discussed prior to booking and will be detailed on your invoice.

A level 4x6 area clear from smoke detector within a 5' radius and access to a standard 3 prong 110V / 60Hz power outlet. On-site access to power is required to book our services.
Depending on the location of your event, we may need special parking and access. If your venue has limited access, specific load-in rules, or no parking, please let us know
during the booking process. -
It is unlimited cones for the entire time. We keep an estimate for our own numbers but I am not counting per guest. Some people come up several times- probably around 10 visits is a record (it was a 13th birthday aha!).
All cones are also made to order so size varies on guest request and age- little cones for the little guests.

In the event of an emergency and cancelation of event by the client- the retainer fee is non-refundable and if the event is canceled prior to 7 days before the event the rest of the balance is refundable up to 30 days.
If the event is canceled within the 7 days leading up to and day of event none of the balance is refundable.
I can and will honor your request to use the complete balance towards a future event within 365 days of the original event date but cannot guarantee that you new date will be available.
